Hire a dedicated development team for e-commerce.
Hire a dedicated development team that lives in commerce and the systems around it. Pick only the roles you are missing — a Magento or Shopify engineer, an AI engineer, QA, integration, DevOps, design, delivery — and run them as an extension of your own team. Monthly rate per role, one invoice, every month.
This is the dedicated-team engagement model described on our services page, priced and staffed. If you want a fixed-scope outcome instead, that page covers contract projects and support agreements.
Most of our work is fixed-scope: a launch, a replatform, a support agreement. But some teams do not need an outcome bought from outside — they need capacity inside, with people who already know Magento's indexers or Shopify's checkout extensibility and will not spend a quarter learning them. That is what this is.
You pick the roles. We name the specific people, you interview them, and they join your standups, your tracker and your repository. They are ours to employ, retain and back up, and yours to direct day to day. There is no bench-shuffling: the engineer you interviewed is the engineer who stays, and when someone goes on leave we cover it rather than billing you for the gap.
Pricing is a monthly rate per role, billed as one fixed amount for the whole squad — one invoice, every month, no timesheet arithmetic and no overage surprises. Rates sit well below UK, US and Australian agency day rates and above the local offshore floor — we are not the cheapest option and do not try to be. We quote per role on the first call, in writing, with no ramp-up fee.
Commerce is the centre of gravity, not the boundary. Teams come to us to hire e-commerce developers, and the same squads build the systems a store depends on — ERP, PIM and OMS integrations, aftersales and service portals, customer-support tooling, internal operations apps and AI automation. We have also delivered enterprise platforms well outside retail, including digital banking. What we do not run is a general staffing desk: we will say no to a squad we cannot staff well, however good the rate.
Hire e-commerce developers across eight roles.
Magento / Adobe Commerce engineers
Certified developers and architects — modules, multi-store, B2B, multi-source inventory, performance. Mid to principal level.
Hire Magento developers →Shopify & Shopify Plus developers
Theme and Liquid, Functions, checkout extensibility, Shopify B2B, apps, Hydrogen and Oxygen storefronts.
Hire a Shopify expert →AI engineers for commerce
Production RAG, evaluation harnesses, guardrails and cost budgets — applied to catalogs, search and support, not to demos.
Hire AI developers →QA & test automation engineers
Checkout regression suites, release gating in CI, cross-browser matrices, load and Core Web Vitals testing.
E-commerce QA & test automation →Integration engineers (Java, Node, PHP)
ERP, PIM, OMS and payment integrations. Spring Boot and Node services, message queues, idempotent sync, reconciliation. This is where our Java capability sits — as a commerce-integration role, not a general Java desk.
DevOps & platform engineers
Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, AWS, CI/CD, observability and the on-call runbooks that make a release boring.
Product & UX designers
Storefront design systems, PDP and checkout flows, accessibility, and design that survives contact with a real catalog.
Delivery lead / PM
Sprint cadence, backlog hygiene, stakeholder reporting. Worth adding once the squad passes about four people.
How hiring a dedicated team works.
Scope the squad
A call about the work, not the headcount. We recommend the smallest squad that can actually deliver it, and we will tell you when the answer is a fixed-scope project instead.
Meet the people
CVs and interviews with the named engineers who would join — not profiles from a pool. You reject anyone you are unsure about, at no cost.
Two-week trial sprint
A paid, scoped first sprint with real tickets, so you judge the squad on shipped work. If it is not right, you stop there with no notice period.
Run it as your own
Your standups, your tracker, your repo, your definition of done. Monthly invoicing, quarterly review of the mix, and roles added or removed with 30 days notice.
The commercial terms, up front.
Timezone: the team is in Hanoi (ICT, UTC+7), which overlaps comfortably with EU and UK mornings and Australian business hours; for US-East we run a shifted-start rota rather than pretending the whole day overlaps. Ask on the call and we will map it against your working hours honestly.
The stack.
Common questions.
How is a dedicated development team different from a fixed-scope project?
A project buys a named outcome against a Statement of Work; a dedicated team buys capacity you direct yourself. If you know exactly what you want built and want someone else to own the risk, take the project route on our services page. If your backlog changes faster than a SOW can, take the team.
What does it cost?
Rates sit well below UK, US and Australian agency day rates and above the local offshore floor — we are not the cheapest option and do not try to be. We quote per role on the first call, in writing, with no ramp-up fee. The invoice is one fixed monthly amount for the agreed squad, so finance sees the same number every month.
Do we get the same people every month?
Yes — continuity is the entire point, and our average retainer runs multiple years. If someone leaves or takes extended leave we cover the gap ourselves and overlap the handover; you are not billed for the ramp-up of their replacement.
Can we hire e-commerce developers for a single project instead of ongoing?
You can, but check the fixed-scope route first. If the work has a defined end — a launch, a replatform, a migration — buying the outcome on our services page puts the delivery risk on us rather than on your management time. Hire developers when the backlog is continuous and you want the capability to stay in your team.
Can we hire just one engineer?
Yes. One senior engineer is a common start, often alongside a part-time QA. Below that a support agreement is usually better value than a dedicated hire — we will say so.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do, from the first commit. Work is done in your repositories under your licence terms, with IP assignment in the contract and no dependency on tooling only we can run.
Can the team work outside the storefront?
Yes, and most squads do. The systems around a store are the same engagement: ERP, PIM and OMS integrations, aftersales and warranty portals, customer-support tooling, internal operations apps, and AI automation across all of it. We have also built enterprise platforms outside retail — digital banking and a national registry among them, see our work. The one thing we will not take on is a general-purpose staffing brief with no connection to any of that; there we are the wrong supplier and will say so.
What about Java, .NET or data engineering roles?
Java sits in the squad as a commerce-integration role — Spring Boot services between the storefront and the ERP, OMS or WMS. That is real work we do every week. A standalone Java or .NET development team, unconnected to a store, is not something we offer.
The three roles people ask for most.
Tell us what your backlog looks like.
We will propose the smallest squad that can clear it, name the people, and quote a monthly rate in writing. If a fixed-scope project would serve you better, we will say that instead.
