E-commerce development in the Nordics, proven on eight Danish brands.

E-commerce development in the Nordics is our deepest regional cluster: eight Danish brands built or scaled — Goodiebox, ILLUM, MASCOT Workwear, Bahne, Trollbeads, Finewines, Pedalatleten and Dansk Boghandel. Subscription, multi-vendor luxury, SAP-backed B2B and multi-currency storefronts, with MobilePay and Klarna at the checkout.

Eight Danish brands is the argument for this page, so here are the ones with published detail. Goodiebox: a subscription-first Magento platform for a beauty brand with 200,000+ members across 13 countries and 80% mobile traffic — recurring billing on monthly and quarterly cadences, cross-market data sync, AltaPay and Adyen payment integration, multi-currency processing, and mobile-first optimisation.

ILLUM: a Magento multi-vendor platform for Copenhagen's luxury department store on Strøget, hosting 300+ global fashion brands with curated departments, click-and-collect from the flagship, loyalty integration with the in-store programme, and omnichannel returns. MASCOT Workwear: Denmark's leading workwear brand, Magento on top of SAP ERP, live in 20+ markets with multi-currency and multi-language, B2B account hierarchies, contract pricing, real-time stock and price sync, and automated reordering for trade buyers. At peak it served 250 stores, and the partnership has run over ten years.

Trollbeads deserves a precise description: it is a Danish charm-bracelet maker selling in 50+ countries, and the storefronts we built were for Vietnam and China — localised Magento, local payment and shipping logic, bilingual catalogues. Danish brand, Asian markets. Bahne, Finewines, Pedalatleten, Dansk Boghandel and Netpris complete the Nordic roster on our client list.

What that cluster gives you is pattern recognition for the things Nordic commerce actually needs: several currencies and languages behind one catalogue, subscription and membership mechanics, ERP as the source of truth for price and stock, and cross-border selling from a small home market. On payments we have implemented the rails Nordic shoppers actually use: MobilePay, Klarna, Adyen and AltaPay — the latter two on Goodiebox specifically — with multi-currency processing across its 13 country sites. Danish carrier integrations we have not built yet, and we will say so rather than pretend.

What the Nordic cluster taught us

Six capabilities, each with a Danish brand behind it.

/ 01

Subscription and recurring billing

Goodiebox: monthly and quarterly cadences, 200,000+ members, 13 country sites kept in sync in real time, AltaPay and Adyen for payments.

Multi-vendor and marketplace

ILLUM: 300+ fashion brands on one Magento multi-vendor platform, curated departments, click-and-collect from the Copenhagen flagship.

Marketplace commerce
/ 03

SAP-backed B2B

MASCOT: Magento over SAP ERP with contract pricing, account hierarchies, real-time stock and price sync, and saved baskets for trade buyers.

ERP integration
/ 04

Multi-currency, multi-language

20+ markets for MASCOT, 13 country sites for Goodiebox. One catalogue, several currencies and languages, without a codebase per country.

International commerce
/ 05

Cross-border from a small home market

Nordic brands outgrow their domestic market early. Trollbeads went the other way — we built their Vietnam and China storefronts with local payment and shipping logic.

/ 06

Written handover, not tribal knowledge

Architecture decisions, runbooks and deployment steps documented in your repository as we go. The test of a remote partner is whether your team can operate the thing without us on the call.

How we work

How we work with Nordic teams.

— 01

English, written down

Working language is English across specs, code review and documentation. None of the Danish engagements has needed anything else.

— 02

ERP first when ERP is the truth

For MASCOT and TTI the integration boundary was designed before the storefront. Getting price and stock ownership right early is what keeps later work cheap.

— 03

Ship in the overlap

Gold and Platinum support runs 09:00–22:00 GMT+7, which is 04:00–17:00 CET — covering the Nordic working day almost end to end.

— 04

Stay for years, not sprints

The MASCOT partnership has run over ten years and Goodiebox through a decade of compounding growth. We are structured for retention, not for project churn.

Questions

Common questions.

Which Nordic brands have you worked with?

Eight Danish brands. With published case studies: Goodiebox (beauty subscription), ILLUM (Copenhagen luxury department store), MASCOT Workwear (workwear, SAP-integrated) and Trollbeads (jewellery — we built their Vietnam and China storefronts). Also Bahne, Finewines, Pedalatleten and Dansk Boghandel, plus Netpris — all on our client list. Ask us about any of them.

Are you a Magento agency in Denmark?

No — we are in Hanoi. Eight Danish brands chose us anyway: Goodiebox, ILLUM, MASCOT Workwear, Bahne, Trollbeads, Finewines, Pedalatleten and Dansk Boghandel. If proximity is your deciding factor, a Copenhagen agency will serve you better and we will tell you that. If a decade-long, SAP-integrated Magento partnership is the kind of evidence you want, we have it.

Can we speak to a Danish client?

Yes, once a conversation is serious. The MASCOT partnership has run more than ten years and Goodiebox through a decade of growth, so there are people who can speak to what a long engagement with us is actually like — including the parts that were hard.

What is the working language?

English, for specifications, code review, documentation and calls. Storefronts themselves are multi-language — Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish or anything else your markets need — and we handle the translation workflow, typically through a PIM.

Do you integrate MobilePay and Klarna?

Both, yes — plus Adyen and AltaPay, the latter two on Goodiebox, and multi-currency transaction processing across its 13 country sites. Between MobilePay, Klarna and Adyen that covers most of what a Danish or wider Nordic checkout needs. Carrier integrations are the gap: we have not built the Danish carrier layer yet, and we would rather tell you now than discover it mid-project.

How do you handle EU data residency and GDPR?

We sign a written Data Processing Agreement, and where your compliance position requires data to stay in the EU we design for it — hosting region, backup location and third-party processors are architecture decisions we settle before the build, not afterwards. Raise it in the first call and it costs nothing.

Do you handle EU VAT and multi-currency pricing?

Multi-currency pricing and per-market tax rules are standard work — MASCOT runs 20+ markets and Goodiebox 13 country sites on that basis. For VAT specifically we implement against your tax engine or advisor's ruleset rather than acting as the tax authority; the platform enforces what your finance team specifies.
