Hoover EMEA needed a digital storefront for the Middle East — UAE and Saudi Arabia — that respected regional language and reading direction without falling back on awkward translations or generic e-commerce templates.

Hoover EMEA needed a digital storefront for the Middle East — UAE and Saudi Arabia — that respected regional language and reading direction without falling back on awkward translations or generic e-commerce templates. Two live domains were required: hoover.ae and hoover.sa.
The work, in detail.
Two domains, one stack
We launched hoover.ae and hoover.sa on the same Shopify-backed stack with a shared codebase but separate locales, payment methods, fulfilment partners and content tracks.
Right-to-left throughout
Arabic isn't just a translation problem — every flexbox, every icon, every checkout step has to flip. We hardened the layout and navigation for RTL and tested every screen path in both directions.
PWA on top of the storefront
A PWA layer over the Shopify storefront gives mobile-first shoppers in the region the speed they expect and offline browsing for previously visited pages. We stabilised PWA Studio for our use case and added an internal QA framework so regressions get caught before each release.
SEO that ranks in Arabic
Content structure, schema and keyword strategy were tuned for Arabic-language search; not a copy-paste of the English playbook. Higher rankings and organic traffic followed.
